Did you know that the Fair and Expo Center is owned and operated by an independent nonprofit organization? It’s true! We are not an arm of Monroe County. The Fair and Expo Center (the Fexpo) is owned and operated by the Monroe County Fair and Recreation Association, an independent 501 c 3 organization. Since we began in 1823, our mission remains the same: "to build community through the advancement, affirmation and support of youth, agriculture and technology culminating in the annual celebration of the Monroe County Fair."

If you believe in building our community by bringing people together, in providing youth with a positive platform for becoming truly dynamic and involved community leaders, in furthering the advancement of the Rochester Metro area as a technology center, or in keeping the tradition of Americana alive that is the Monroe County Fair then you have quality reason(s) for aligning yourself with us.
