The MCFRA moved to its present location, the grounds, Henrietta, NY, in 1947. The fairgrounds experienced it's first major upgrade with the building of The Dome Arena and Minett Hall in 1972. Since that time, more than six million people have attended and enjoyed the and the myriad of muti-purpose events that are held on the fairgrounds each year.
The economic impact to the community has been substantial, the memories are irreplaceable, and now it's time to evolve!
We have embarked on a major re-development of our fairgrounds by securing a new Master Plan from Bullock Smith & Partners. The Master Plan is based on a feasibility study, including focus groups, conducted by the marketing firm, Markin Associates. Both Bullock Smith and Markin Associates are recognised leaders in the fairgrounds and multi-purpose entertainment venue development industry.
The new Master Plan represents an extension of existing capabilities and the addition of new capabilities which will ensure that the newly branded "Fair and Expo Center" will be a sigificant community center for the 21st century.
